About the facilitators
Annick Nevejan (MSc), trained originally as a community-based artist (MA DasArts), is a trainer, counselor and senior tutor for the Mindfulness Association UK and Europe. Her passion for the last 25 years has been exploring and facilitating personal and collective transformation processes, both in Amsterdam with her own company and abroad. Her work is based on an integration of Buddhist and Western psychology, neuroscience and the Theory of Living Human Systems.
Marjorie Lumet is a mindfulness teacher. For the past 10 years she has shared the practice of mindfulness and self-compassion with a wide range of audiences from individuals to groups, in private and professional settings as well as through bespoke programmes to help (future) parents nurture the next generation. As a lover of the sea and nature with a growing concern for ecological degradation, she trained in deep ecology work in 2021 and now offers Work that Reconnects retreats and active Circles of Hope in Amsterdam to build community and support change-makers and activists. L'engagement de Sa Sainteté le Karmapa pour la cause environnementale / His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa is committed to the environmental cause
From 1st to 5th June 2022, Kagyu Samye Ling Belgium and Lama Rinchen host a Spiritual Ecology Retreat with retreatants from Netherlands. This is a good opportunity to remind that His Holiness Gyalwang Karmapa and Kagyu Centres support the environmental cause. We are glad to support this initiative and host these young people who wish for a world that is not driven by materialism and greed, but who, on the opposite, wish for a planet rooted in the spiritual values of interconnectedness, service, stewardship, and reverence for nature.
